Nissan IMk Concept

Unconstrained by conventional concepts of the Kei car segment, “Nissan IMk” Concept fuses a modern, clean look, driven by Japanese heritage, with cutting-edge EV technology. By adopting the essence of Japanese design elements, such as the beautiful flow of mizuhiki, thin twines made of Japanese rice paper, and traditional wood joinery patterns of “kigumi”, the exterior design is simple and minimalistic while remaining dynamic and detailed at the same time. The cabin is an upscale, stylish “room” that gives the occupants a chic, elegant space to enjoy. The dashboard is void of physical controls other than the start button and shifter, while important driving information appears to be “floating.” The visual continuity around the bezel-less display provides retrieval cues of the spatial depth and width of an “engawa”, a casual porch of a traditional Japanese house, creating a fun and relaxing space.
