SynchroRev Match Mode
6-speed manual transmission with synchronized rev control
SynchroRev Match Mode (SRM)*, offers smooth upshifts and downshifts by matching the ideal engine speed between manual gear shifts without the need for advanced driver skills. SRM can blip the throttle during downshifts and holds the ideal engine rpm during upshifts. This helps maintain vehicle stability, optimize power delivery and allows the driver to focus on the road ahead.

- In 2008, SynchroRev Match Mode was the world's first synchronized rev-control system to be implemented in production vehicles.

Basic components of SRM include sensors on the clutch pedal and shift lever and ECU programming. There’s also a transmission-speed sensor to make sure the driveshaft matches the engine’s RPM. When the SRM mode is turned on, the system is triggered when the clutch pedal is engaged. When it detects movement in the shift lever, the engine control unit calculates the target engine speed and adjusts the electronic throttle accordingly.
