Health promotion structure
Nissan's health promotion activities are conducted in collaboration with the Nissan Health Insurance Association (Workplace Health Promotion Center), Tokyo Marine & Nichido Medical Service Co., Ltd., and Health and Safety Departments at headquarters and related departments at each site, along with other medical professionals, to support the physical and mental well-being of employees.
Initiatives to address health issues
In Japan, we use data to visualize employees' health status, assess disease risks, and identify potential health concerns. Based on these insights, we implement company-wide health promotion initiatives as well as tailored programs to support individual improvement.
To strengthen these efforts, we have developed a Health Management Strategy Map to define our health challenges. Alongside company-wide initiatives, site-specific maps support health promotion tailored to regional and local needs.
For physical health, we support the balance between prevention, work, and treatment. For mental health, we focus on primary to tertiary prevention with four-level care approach. Under Collaborative Health, we promote initiatives such as youth health and cancer prevention.
Social evaluation of health promotion
Nissan has been recognized for eight consecutive years under the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry's White 500 program for excellence in health management, and continues to strengthen its health management framework.
As part of its efforts to employee well-being, Nissan has been also certified as a Sports Yell Company by the Japan Sports Agency since 2022.
Initiatives by the Nissan Group
Nissan regularly holds the Nissan Group Health Management Promotion Council, involving around 20 group companies. Through activity reports, discussions, and benchmarking, the Group promotes health management across all companies.
