Nissan supports several international guidelines and agreements, respecting international policies and standards as it conducts its business.
United Nations Global Compact
Since January 2004, Nissan has participated in the UN Global Compact and has been enhancing its sustainability activities in accordance with its 10 universal principles on human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption.
TCFD
Nissan emphasizes transparency in its climate response to build stakeholder trust and long-term value. We endorse the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations and participate in Japan's TCFD Consortium, now the GX Future Consortium (GXFC), to advance our climate-resilience disclosures.
TNFD
Nissan endorses the TNFD’s recommendations, participates in the TNFD Forum, and registered as a TNFD Adopter in January 2025. Starting with the securities report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025, the Company has begun disclosing information aligned with selected TNFD recommendations.
Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR)
In March 2025, Nissan joined the Global Platform for Sustainable Natural Rubber (GPSNR*1) and published its approaches to the sustainable procurement of natural rubber in its Responsible Materials Sourcing Policy*2. Regarding the implementation status of this policy, we collaborate with our suppliers to gather information in response to questions requested by GPSNR and prepare a response.

External Recognition
Nissan’s sustainability initiatives have been highly recognized by external evaluation organizations.
FTSE
Nissan has been a constituent of the FTSE4Good Index Series and constituent of the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Index for eleven consecutive years. Nissan has also continued to be
a constituent of the FTSE JPX Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index since its creation in 2022. (July 2026)
EcoVadis
In a 2024 assessment conducted by EcoVadis, an international sustainability rating agency, Nissan earned a score of 66, which places us in the top 18% of the companies surveyed. (May 2025)
CDP
Nissan has earned a place on prestigious A List in two categories, climate change and water security from CDP, a global environmental NGO for two consecutive years. In the climate change category, Nissan has achieved “Leadership Level” (either A or A-) for 13 consecutive years since 2013, and in the water security category Nissan has been A-listed for seven consecutive years.
