Maneuvering assist
Helps to prevent accidents caused by applying the wrong pedal
When you accidentally press the accelerator instead of the brake, or when you delay applying the brakes, the system automatically suppresses acceleration and applies the brakes to help prevent collisions.

    System operation
While parked or driving at low speeds (up to 15 kph), the system detects obstacles in the direction of travel, such as walls, vehicles and pedestrians. If you press the accelerator pedal hard in such situations, the system alerts you with a visual display and warning chime while also limiting acceleration. Furthermore, if a collision risk is detected, the system assists in collision avoidance by applying automatic braking along with a warning. It also responds to unintended acceleration when vehicles or pedestrians are detected ahead while driving (up to 25 kph).
*Detectable objects and conditions may vary by vehicle model.

    System mechanism
The front/rear sonar and cameras detect obstacles in the path ahead and their distance. If the system determines a collision risk exists, it alerts the driver, reduces engine or motor output and applies the brakes as necessary.
*Sonar and cameras specifications vary by vehicle model.
