Espinosa was appointed president and chief executive officer of Nissan in April 2025, stepping into the role at a pivotal moment for the company.
On taking the helm, he formulated and launched Re:Nissan, a bold and comprehensive recovery plan designed to reduce costs, redefine Nissan’s product and market approach, and strengthen both longstanding and emerging partnerships.

Antoku was appointed Chief Quality Officer of Nissan in April 2024. In this role, he oversees the quality of all products and services delivered to customers worldwide. He and his team listen to customer feedback daily and drive initiatives to enhance quality, staying focused on delivering greater customer satisfaction.
Guillaume Cartier
Chief Performance Officer
Guillaume Cartier was appointed Nissan’s chief performance officer (CPO) in December 2024.
In this role, Cartier is responsible for enhancing Nissan’s global performance and profitability, acting as a bridge between headquarters and regional operations, and driving the execution of the Re:Nissan recovery plan.

Akashi became chief technology officer in April 2025, overseeing Nissan’s global research and development. He leads vehicle innovation across all segments, from compact kei cars to high-performance sports models. As a member of Nissan’s Executive Committee, Akashi plays a central role in advancing the Re:Nissan strategy through technology leadership and product transformation.
