Nissan is shaping the future through cars. We tackle environmental and social issues to create a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable society. Nissan continues to expand the possibilities of cars by developing exciting electric vehicles (EVs) and groundbreaking technologies.
We lead the world's EVs with the Nissan Leaf. By 2030, we aim to develop 19 EV models. To make EVs more accessible, we are advancing the development of next-generation all-solid-state batteries (ASSB) and are working to create a society where many EVs are on the roads.
Nissan aims to create cars that more people can drive safely, securely, and comfortably. We are working to develop crash-proof and more user-friendly autonomous vehicles that can be used in more places, aiming for a society free of accidents.
We promote the use of renewable energy in car manufacturing and the 4R (reuse, refabricate, resell, recycle) for used batteries. For example, we aim to achieve carbon neutrality by recycling batteries that can no longer be used in electric vehicles.
Nissan aims for better urban development through the use of cars. In Namie Town, Fukushima Prefecture, we have implemented services like on-demand car-hailing via smartphones. We also support regions affected by natural disasters, such as by providing EVs to areas hit by major typhoons, contributing to regional development and solving local issues.
