The third generation Skyline C10 was released in 1968. The nickname "Hakosuka (Boxy Skyline)" came from its boxy styling. The first generation "2000GT-R", the symbol of the third generation Skyline, made a debut in 1969.
The lineup of C10 Skyline included commercial vehicles "Estate" and "Van". They were popular as stylish commercial vehicles because they also had "Surfin' Line" coming from the Sedan series.
Mounted engine was "G15" (4-cyl.in line SOHC, 1500cc, 88ps) that was developed for the last model of the second generation. G18 engine (1800cc, 100ps) was added in 1969. The rear suspension of the 1500 series including commercial vehicles was rigid axle type with parallel leaf springs.
