The sixth generation Bluebird 910 rolled out in 1979 was an epoch-making car with a linear form of 510, retrieved high traveling performance and pioneering technologies. Technological topics were enlarged tread and overall width, 4-cylinder engine variations, front suspension setting called zero-scrub radius geometry, rack & pinion steering gear, etc. The square body styling also improved roominess and comfortability.
910 refreshed the image of Bluebird and became a big hit. It was the top selling car in the category of 1600-2000cc passenger vehicles for 27 months in Japan.
