Ever since "Skyline GT-R" made a test run in 1988, all the GT-R machines have been tested on Nordschleife of Nürburgring, one of the toughest courses in the world, for evaluation. When "NISSAN GT-R NISMO" was planned as flagship car in 2013, the team ventured time attack to be evaluated as a machine with the best performance. The machine was equipped with the street-legal option pack. The drivers were S. Buemi, M. Krumm, A. Hahne and T. Tanaka. Krumm achieved the record of 7min 8sec 679, the fastest of all the production vehicles at the time, on his second lap. It was faster by almost 10 seconds than the best time of 7min 18sec achieved in 2012 by the same model.
