Grand Prix race” was the race of the highest rank in Japan Grand Prix about which many Japanese were enthusiastic in the late 1960s. Nissan R382 is a “Group 7” provisions-compliant prototype race car that was developed for the GP in 1969. Mounted engine was GRX-III, newly developed 6-liter V12 DOHC, generated more than 600ps. MotoharuKurosawa drove No.21 and won first place and Moto Kitano drove No.20 and won second place, marking the 2nd straight victory of Nissan.
Japan GP was discontinued in 1970 with increasing social issues around automobiles.
