DATSUN Sunny Sedan 1400SGL (1979: HB310)

The fourth generation Sunny B310 was rolled out in 1977 when automobiles were blamed as a cause of air pollution. Besides improving overall performance, meeting emission control regulations in 1978 was the problem. Nissan developed an exhaust purification system "NAPS: Nissan Anti-Pollution System" to meet the strict regulations.
Fuel consumption was improved to 15.5km/l in the 10-mode test for 1200cc car. 1400cc cars with EGI (electronic fuel injection system) were added in 1978.
B310 was the last DATSUN Sunny and also the last rear-driven Sunny with smooth handling. 5-door station wagon "Sunny California" added in 1979 became a topic car of a new type with usability.
