- Enhanced Safety with Emergency Brake and Emergency Assist

Advanced safety equipment, including Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), is now offered on the updated Note. Nissan will display the updated Note with a range of available advanced safety equipment that can be used in a variety of situations, in addition to AVM, as a reference exhibit at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
Overview:
- The following technologies will be offered on the updated Note:
- Emergency Brake assists collision avoidance when activated in a when the vehicle is operated in low- or mid-range speeds and activates even at higher speeds to help mitigate a potential collision. Emergency Brake can help detect both vehicles and pedestrians.
- Emergency Assist for Pedal Misapplication detects when the gas pedal is mistakenly depressed, and activates when the car is in reverse or moving at slow speeds to help reduce the risk of collisions.
- Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD) activates at slow speeds and detects moving objects within the displayed image.
- Lane Departure Warning (LDW) operates to warn the driver of an unintended lane departure.
- The highest grade, MEDALIST, expresses an enhanced premium feel both in interior and exterior.
- The updated Note will be on sale in December 2013.
Nissan Note achieves fuel economy that is among the best for vehicles that are equipped with gasoline engines*1 in Japan. The updated Note boasts excellent driving performance and packaging, and advanced safety equipment that can be used in a variety of situations, which provides an enhanced feeling of security for customers. Other comfort features are also adopted. In the highest MEDALIST grade, the vehicle's exterior and interior design has been renewed to enhance its premium feel.

In addition to its fuel efficiency, comfort, and user-friendly features, we plan to introduce many advanced safety equipment for the Note, so there will lots of exciting developments to look forward to regarding this compact car."
Enhanced safety feature offerings with Emergency Brake, Emergency Assist for Pedal Misapplication, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD)
The updated Note which is displayed at Tokyo Motor Show newly adopts safety equipment that can be used in a variety of situations utilizing Nissan's advanced technology. Emergency Brake assists collision avoidance when the vehicle is operated in low- or mid-range speeds and activates even at higher speeds to help mitigate a potential collision. The system can detect both vehicles and pedestrians. Emergency Assist for Pedal Misapplication works in both reverse and drive conditions at low speeds to help reduce the risk of a pedal misapplication. In addition, Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is newly available and Around View Monitor (AVM) with Moving Object Detection (MOD), which can detect moving objects within the displayed image, is added to help improve driver detection of nearby moving objects and increase the driver's confidence.
Improved interior comfort
Super UV-cut heat insulated green glass which filters out 99 percent of UV rays is used for front doors. Rear center seat headrest is also adopted to improve comfort.
The highest grade, MEDALIST, expressing an enhanced premium feel both in interior and exterior
In the highest MEDALIST grade, an exclusive color is used for front grille. Plated front bumper lower grille finisher and MEDALIST emblem are newly adopted as well. An exclusively-designed 15-inch aluminum wheels come as a factory-installed option. With a seat cloth color and woven pattern changed, an improved premium feel in both interior and exterior is expressed.
At the Tokyo Motor Show this year, Note MEDALIST in an exclusive Beatnik Gold body color will be displayed.
Note will surely satisfy a wide range of customers in terms of family structure and lifestyle.
