We at the Nissan Research Center (NRC) are tasked with looking to the future of mobility and identifying the paths we should pursue as an automaker. Our mission is twofold. One is to serve as a knowledge center, constantly updating our understanding of our operating environment and analyzing how the future may unfold. And the other is to function as an innovation hub, developing concepts and technologies that will lead to value creation.
The NRC is equipped to conduct prototyping, testing and evaluation in many different research areas. Our strength lies in the ability to quickly give shape to new concepts and technologies and see how they work. Mobility will henceforth need to be fundamentally redesigned, as rapid changes in society prompt a dramatic shift in people’s values. We have the resources and facilities to create the technologies that are aligned with tomorrow’s needs.
We seek to be at the forefront of efforts to give shape to the mobility and vehicles of the future. And I believe we can build the future of our choosing using innovative technologies, embracing new perspectives and rising to the challenge with firm resolve.
