The new commercial vehicle Datsun 320 was released in 1961. The lineup was truck with single carburetor and twin carburetors, and 2-door van. The chassis of the first generation Bluebird 310 released in 1959 was reinforced and adopted for this model. The styling of front section was similar to that of Bluebird and performance was equivalent to that of passenger vehicles.
Interior and cargo space was much larger than that of models 220 to 223. Mounted engine was 4-cyl. OHV, 1200cc and 55ps. Controllability and comfortability were improved because front-wheel independent suspension was adopted like Bluebird, which elevated the popularity of Datsun commercial vehicles.
