Datsun Pickup Truck was among the lineup of Datsun (10) manufactured by DAT Jidosha Seizo Co. in 1932. Datsun 14 was the first model that included in a brochure and the letter T for truck was added to model numbers after Datsun 15 in 1936.
Datsun Truck was discontinued during WWII, but the production of the first postwar model 1121 based on prewar design was started as early as 1946. It continued over minor changes until the end of 1954, supporting the postwar reconstruction of Japan.
This pickup is "Datsun 6147", the last one of revised prewar models, manufactured in 1953. The maximum load capacity was 600kg. Datsun Pickup was remodeled to Model 120 with the all-new design in 1955 and has been passed down until today.
