Sedan
Datsun 17 was rolled out in 1938 when a war was approaching. The model was very popular in those days because of its toughness and economic efficiency, and was called “National Economical Car” in the catalog. The interior was simple due to the shortage of pure cotton and pure wool, while the styling was quite similar to that of Datsun 16 of the previous year.
This car is Datsun 17 “Phaeton,” 4-seater with a cloth top. It was once owned by the automobile club of SeijoUniversity, and fully restored back to the original for the school festival in 1974.
