Sedan
Prewar DATSUN models achieved unprecedented low prices and high quality by Japan's first integrated production in large quantity that started in 1935 when "DATSUN 14" was released, and they became widespread in Japan. DATSUN was improved almost every year and the price gradually fell.
This is "DATSUN 16" of "Phaeton" with 4 seaters and soft-top rolled out in 1937. The lineup other than Phaeton was Sedan, Roadster, Coupe, Pickup and Van to satisfy wide-ranging needs of customers. But DATSUN cars for consumer use were discontinued in 1939 as Japan entered into a wartime regime.
This car was restored in 2019 for exhibition only, not for driving.
