Compact / Competition
Cherry, Nissan's first FWD (front wheel drive) car, evolved into the second generation "Cherry F-II" (F10) at full-model change in 1974. This machine was produced for catalog on the base of the top grade car "GX Twin" on which an
engine with twin carburetors was mounted. Its engine was enhanced to 145ps and was manufactured in compliance with regulations of TS races at the time. In Japan, unfortunately it was only an exhibit and didn't run at any races since Nissan had decided not to participate in races. But it actually ran and won at a race as a proof of high potential in New Zealand. This car is yellow because of the copy "Yellow Cherry" at release.
