Sedan / Event vehicle
Japan was in the period of rapid economic growth in 1960s. Motorization gradually proceeded, although buying a car was still one of people’s dreams. The Nissan Cedric debuted as a new luxury sedan in 1960. “Cedric Special” was the first full-sized
domestic passenger car rolled out in 1963. Its engine was Inline 6-cylinder OHV type with the displacement of 2,825cc (Type K) and the horsepower of 115ps. The wheelbase size of 2,835mm that promised the large room space was almost as long as that of
Mercedes Benz 220S in those days. After 1965, this segment was taken over by the Nissan President (150).
This car carried the Olympic torch in Tokyo Olympic Games in 1964.
