The sixth-generation (Y30) was launched in June 1983. This model was available in three series: the 4-door sedan, the 4-door hardtop, and the estate wagon. The main engine was a newly developed V6 (VG30/20). In January 1987, to commemorate the production of 1 million VG engines, the Urban G - a special limited edition (500 cars) based on the Urban - was launched.
