NX Coupe (100NX for export), a coupe model of the seventh generation Sunny B13, was rolled out in 1990. It was a cute and casual coupe, unusual for Sunny, while the previous model "RZ-1" had an edgy look. Its curvy form was designed for female users in North America by NDI*. Motifs of North America's favorite 300ZX (Z32) appeared throughout the car and there was T-Top as option. Engine variations were 1500cc, 1600cc, and 1800cc of 4-valve DOHC.
The copy "Wow! A time machine?" and TV commercial were novel. Especially commercial CG in which personified NX coupe morphed became a hot topic. This is NX Coupe Type B in "Yellow Pearl".
