Rasheen Type II (1994: RNFB14)

"Rasheen" is a compact 4WD that was exhibited at the 30th Tokyo Motor Show in 1993 and released in 1994. The unusual name came from the Japanese word "rashimban" meaning "compass" and the sales copy of the early days was "Our Anywhere Door." It was not a full-fledged 4WD but was a convenient city runabout and a pioneer of today's casual crossover SUV (crossover utility vehicle). It has been popular ever since its first release because of its pike-car-like atmosphere.
Mounted engine was GA15DE of 1500cc in the early days and was changed to SR18DE of 1800cc at face-lift in 1997. Rasheen Forza, the sporty model with SR20DE engine of 2000cc and 145ps, was added in 1998.
