A boom in touring car races for 2-liter 4-door sedan cars happened around 1992 in European countries. In UK, BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) became very popular and the first generation PrimeraP10 that was manufactured in UK at the time also ran at races. The second generation P11 also raced at circuits. In 1999, machines such as Volvo S40, Renault Laguna, Vauxhall Vectra, Ford Mondeo and Honda Accord competed bitterly for their prestige.
This machine is the genuine champion car that won 13 out of 26 races of BTCC in 1999 and got 4 titles such as Manufacturers', Drivers' and Teams'. The mounted engine is SR20DE with improved output of 300ps.
