Sport Car
The cumulative number of Fairlady produced in 23 years exceeded a million in 1983. The third generation Fairlady Z (Z31) was released in that year. The hot topic was the engine. "L" (6-cyl. inline, 2000cc and 2800cc) engine was changed to newly developed compact and powerful "VG" (V6, OHC, 2000cc and 3000cc), which improved the weight balance of entire vehicle and the running performance.
The traditional proportion of long nose and short deck and the drag coefficient (Cd) of 0.31 made the styling edgy. One of the features was "parallel rising headlamp;" a part of lamp was visible even when covers were closed. This car is "ZG" with VG20ET engine of 170ps.
