Electric vehicle
Nissan is a company that has researched electric vehicle (EV) over many decades.
Nissan FEV is the experimental high-performance EV exhibited at the 29th Tokyo Motor Show in 1991.
Nissan achieved a high-performance car that lived up to the concept of "a compact car that is people-friendly and environmentally friendly"; that employed a "super fast electric charging system" that could charge to 40% in only six minutes, even though research had not started on the automotive lithium-ion battery that is now the global standard in current EVs; extremely aerodynamic styling with a Cd (coefficient drag) of 0.19; independent control of left and right front wheels and low-rolling, low-resistance tires achieved with two compact, lightweight, high-output, high-efficiency AC induction motors; and, achieved a cruising distance of 250 km on one charge, acceleration from 0 to 400 m in 20 seconds, and a top speed of 130 km/h.
The car here is a vehicle that was kept in Nissan Research Center. Nissan's Prototype Division restored the interior and exterior in 2025.
