Nissan Prairie J7 ATTESA (1989: NM11)

The first-generation Prairie released in 1982 was the pioneering "world's first minivan" - an unprecedented, futuristic sedan/multi-use sedan. The following, second-generation model debuted in September 1988 to combine aerodynamic, curved styling and higher driving performance with the concept of "a car offering relaxation and fun to people who cherish activities with the family".

The styling underwent a drastic turnaround to a one motion style with the low nose leading gently to the long cabin, from the two-box form of the first generation model.

Although the first-generation's central pillarless structure was discontinued, the convenient slide doors on both sides which were unusual at the time were continued.

The car here is the J7 ATTESA, an early, top-grade 7-seater and which was equipped with the new-generation full-time 4WD system which was being deployed on a large scale by Nissan at the time, starting with the Bluebird.
