Electric vehicle
The concept of "Nissan Leaf," the first globally-marketed electric vehicle in the world for sustainable zero emission society, was unveiled in 2009 and the first generation model was released in 2010. It had high environmental performance as well as powerful and smooth acceleration performance, quietness in every speed range and good handling stability achieved by large-capacity lithium-ion battery of 24kWh and high-output electric motor. It was also equipped with advanced IT system, which provided a sense of unity between the driver and the car. Driving range was 200km (JC08 mode) at the time of release. It was improved to 228km in 2012 and to 300km with 30kWh battery in 2015.
