The sixth generation Sunny B12 was rolled out in 1985. The original lineup was 4-door sedan that became a big hit, and crisp 3-door hatchback. The lineup was expanded in 1986 by adding "RZ-1", 3-door hatchback coupe of edgy form, and "California", utility 5-door hatchback. A high-performance version "Twin-cam series" with 4-valve DOHC engine was also added in that year.
This is "RZ-1 Twin-cam NISMO" of special spec based on a twin-cam model of RZ-1, bearing the name of "Nissan Motorsports International (NISMO)" established In 1984. It was a "hot" car with special suspension, special aerodynamic exterior parts, special leather-wrapped steering wheel, and white instrument panel.
