Skyline GT-R that won its last JGTC race in 2003 was replaced with Fairlady Z (Z33) as GT500 machine for JGTC races in 2004. Its main mechanisms such as VQ engine and transaxle were passed down from GT-R, and the styling was based on the limited model "Type E" with extended front/rear bumpers. It showed excellent performance on both straightway and corners.
This car is XANAVI NISMO Z that ran JGTC races. The car number "1" indicates it is the defending champion. The drivers were S. Motoyama and R. Lyons. It won the debut race at TI Circuit Aida and the 6th Round at Autopolis International Racing Course, which resulted in Nissan's series title for the second year in a row.
