Nissan Skyline GT Twin-cam 24V Turbo Passage (1985: HR31)

Known as "Seventh", the R31 Skyline appeared in 1985 with full model change. The upper-grade model introduced many new features: newly developed RB20DE (165ps) straight-six engine with 4-valve DOHC, its turbocharged version RB20DET (210ps), and "HICAS", the first suspension that allows the rear wheels to form angles according to lateral gravity and speed. Additionally, it was the first model with "Card Entry System" which was the origin of the today's "Intelligent Key".

This "Passage Twin Cam 24V Turbo" was the fastest model at the time of its debut. Later in 1986, the long-awaited two-door coupe was released. The coupe model played an active part in touring car races.
