Sedan
DATSUN Sedan 110/A110 was the first compact car that was designed by Nissan after WWII and rolled out in 1955. All the exterior panels were pressed into shapes and the body was made from metal without any wooden parts. The form by S. Sato, a founder of Nissan Design Division, was drastically modernized. It broke away from prewar models while the engine was D-10 (860cc, 4-cyl. inline, side-valve, 25ps) of the prewar design. The max. speed reached 79km/h via 4-speed MT.
DATSUN Sedan 112 with harmonica-like front grille was released after a minor change in 1955 and won "Mainichi Design Award". DATSUN Sedan in 1950s, the predecessor of Bluebird series, was almost "a common sight of the time" in Japan.
