Nissan Cedric Twincam Turbo Gran Turismo SV (1991: Y31)

The seventh generation Cedric/the eighth generation Gloria Y31 rolled out in 1987 was the first model designed to realize "the fun of driving" for high-end passenger cars. The concept was embodied in "Gran Turismo" series newly set out besides "Brougham". The high-end car market marveled at traveling performance improved by excellent hardware such as Cedric's/Gloria's first 4-wheel independent suspension and "VG20DET" engine (2000cc, V6, 4-valve DOHC with turbo).

VG20DET was the power unit of high performance in which low-friction ceramic turbo was adopted and first equipped on this car, Y31 Gran Turismo. The horsepower was 185ps in early days and 210ps after 1989.
