Silvia(1966: CSP311)

The Silvia was rolled out in March 1965 as an elegant personal sports coupe positioned above the Datsun Fairladyline. It was a high-performance car that shared many of the same mechanisms with the Fairlady1600 (SP311). The Silvia's most distinguishing styling features included its elegant exterior and interior design and beautifully finished body panels and interior trim. Its jewel-like surface composition, small cabin with slim A-pillars, nearly seamless bodywork, and other design details imparted the image of an exquisite work of art. Its sticker price of 1.2 million yen even exceeded that of the standard Cedric luxury sedan in those days. Approximately 550 units were built over roughly a four-year period.
