Fuji Precision Machinery (later the Prince Motor Co., Ltd.) launched the Prince Skyline (ALSI series) in April 1957 as a successor of Prince Sedan series. A van model became also available from 1959, called the Skyway. It had quite similar mechanisms to the Skyline including 1.5-liter OHV engine of 70ps, a unique De-Dion rear suspension, etc.
