Sedan
The first generation Laurel (C30) was developed as a small-size luxury car line positioned between Bluebird and Cedric and released in 1968. It started up the time when sedans were classified not by engines or body sizes but by their concepts or drivers' lifestyles.
Mounted engine was newly developed G18 (4-cyl. inline, OHC, 1800cc) that was to be mounted on Skyline. It was equipped with 4-wheel independent suspension of strut unit for front wheels and semi-trailing arm type for rear wheels, like the third generation Bluebird (510), to realize better road holding performance. Nissan's first pillarless 2-door hardtop and G20 engine (2000cc, OHC) were added in 1970.
