After a big campaign to advertise for names, Nissan released Datsun Sunny 1000 B10, the all-new affordable passenger car, in April 1966. It became a big hit among younger people because of its youthful image, brisk ride and low prices of 410,000 yen for standard and 460,000 yen for deluxe.
The original lineup of Sunny 1000 included commercial van. Another commercial vehicle of pickup truck "Sunny Truck" was added in 1967. The low price of 365,000 yen, high output of 56ps, modern styling and the minimum turning radius of 4m overwhelmed competing trucks and Sunny truck became very popular.
This is the model after the minor change in October 1968.
