Datsun Bluebird 1200 Deluxe(1962: P312)

The first generation Datsun Bluebird (Model 310) was released in 1959. Its accumulated production reached 20,000 and the export to US started in 1960. It evolved into Model 311 with full-synchronized transmission in October 1960 and into Model 312 with refined interior/exterior in 1961.
This is the genuine "Flower Car" whose mission was to bring seeds of prefectural flowers to "Kodomo-no-kuni" to be constructed in commemoration of the royal wedding in 1959. This event was organized by The Asahi Shimbun Company and all the prefectures in 1963. Bluebird was chosen because of its overall high performance and durability. Drawn on the body were prefectural flowers and autographs of governors.
