Datsun 14 Pickup (1935: 14)

“Datsun” released in 1932 by “DAT Jidosha Seizo Co., Ltd.” became synonymous with Japanese car. The initial lineup included commercial vehicles (pickup trucks and vans). People could see Datsun pickup trucks of Datsun “10”to “14”, “15T” and “17T” at shops, department stores and delivery companies. One of the features was advanced engine equipped with aluminum piston, duralumin conrods and crankshaft using ball bearings.

This is the Datsun 14 Pickup that was manufactured at Yokohama Plant when Japan's first mass production started. It is the oldest commercial vehicle in Nissan Heritage Collection. It took 2 years to restore it but it returned to the almost original moving state.
