Cima Type II Limited (1990: FPAY31)

The first generation Cima FPY31 was exhibited at the 27th Tokyo Motor Show in 1987 and rolled out in January 1988. The Cima was designed uniquely for large sedan segment only, and made waves across Japan due to sleek body line, spacious room, high performance of Japan's first turbocharged V6 DOHC engine, and electronically controlled air suspension. The sales increased after the commodity tax was abolished in 1989 and affordability increased, which triggered the so-called "large car boom" in Japan.
This car is "Type II Limited," the top grade of this line with a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 DOHC engine (VG30DET) that generated 255ps.
