Skyline 2000GTX-E(1976: KGC111)

The fourth generation Skyline C110 was rolled out in September 1972, but it was required at that time that all the cars of existing models and new models should conform the emission regulations that became increasingly rigor. Due to this situation, Nissan stopped the works activities of Skyline 2000GT-R in touring car races and the development resources had to concentrate on cleaner emission. The main engine of Skyline series was the inline 6-cylinder OHC "L20" of 1,998cc, but it was changed from the traditional carburetor system to "L20E" of the EGI (Electronic Gasoline Injection) system.
This car is the upper-grade 2000GTX-E with L20E engine. C110 series sold more than 660 thousand units that was the best sales results among the Skyline generations, owing to the successful marketing campaign of "Skyline for Ken and Mary."
