The Zero-emission TeRRA SUV Concept, a Winner in the Automotive Brand Contest

The Nissan TeRRA concept was a winner in the Concepts category of the Automotive Brand Contest 2012 hosted by the German Design Council. The award ceremony was held at the Automotive Designers' Night on the first day of the 2012 Paris Motor Show (Mondial de l'Automobile).

The zero-emission TeRRA SUV concept has an innovative 4x4 (3-motor smart AWD) fuel-cell powertrain. In-wheel motors in the back wheels did away with the need for a center drive shaft. It is a compact “package” that offers exceptional visibility and an athletic exterior design that also gives forth the image of toughness. Meanwhile, the interior has been designed to offer simplicity and utility. The meter-less cockpit offers seamless information delivery through cloud computing.

The Automotive Brand Contest is an international design competition for automobile manufacturers. In recent years, it has become highly regarded as an important contest for the automotive industry. The contest covers a wide range of areas related to automobiles including superior products, communication design and brand design.
