In 2013, global partners Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Habitat for Humanity International, a global nonprofit organization, have selected an international NGO World Concern Myanmar to implement their initial social programs in Myanmar. The purpose of the Myanmar project is to improve access to clean water and sanitation, promote hygiene awareness and habits, and reduce the impacts resulting from natural disasters, including cyclones, which have devastated the country in the past.
In 2014, improved hygiene and sanitation in 11 villages in Mon State and Delta, and improved protection through cyclone-resistant shelter/school in Delta were accomplished.
