Nissan entered two Datsun 1000 Sedan Model 210 vehicles, Fuji and Sakura. The rally lasted 19 days, and despite harsh conditions, both Datsuns completed the course, with Fuji coming in first in its class. (now Marubeni Corporation) to enter the Mexican market. Production commenced at a new plant in 1966.A plant specializing in passenger cars was completed in Oppama, Yokosuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture. Auto-presses and other novel technologies were adopted that exceeded the international standards of the time. The Nissan Gallery opened on the 2nd floor of the San-ai Building.
