Nissan Motor and Omnicom Group of the US Agree
on Capital and Business Tie-up of Nissan Graphic Arts

Tokyo ... Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced today that it has agreed to transfer part of its equity shares in Nissan Graphic Arts Co., Ltd., a Nissan affiliate engaged in auto catalog making and printing to Omnicom Group, the holding company for major U.S. advertising agency networks. Signing of a contract for the share transference and actual share transfer are scheduled for sometime in the latter part of this month.

Nissan has expected Nissan Graphic Arts to boost its sales and achieve further growth and Omnicom has wanted to tap into the printing business in Japan. The meeting of both companies’ interests paved the way for this agreement.

Although as a result of the share transfer Omnicom Group will become the top shareholder of Nissan Graphic Arts, Nissan will retain some equity interest and continue to do business with Nissan Graphic Arts as in the past.

In a similar move, Nissan transferred its shares in NIPPO, INC. (present TBWA/NIPPO Co.,Ltd.), a Nissan-affiliated advertising agency, to Omnicom Group in September.
