Nissan Announces Changes in Top Management Responsibilities, An Organizational Change, and Changes in General Manager-Class Personnel

Tokyo ... Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced today changes in the responsibilities of some of its corporate officers, the creation of a new office, and changes in general manager-class personnel effective October 1.

2. Organizational Change (Effective October 1)
Nissan has created a New Transmission Company Project Office.
The establishment of this new office is aimed at making specific preparations and promoting the recently announced plan to integrate the Fuji Plant and the Automatic Transmission Development Department into a new independent company scheduled to be established in the summer of 1999.
