Nissan Exhibits the X-Cargo at the 34th Tokyo Motor Show

Tokyo -- Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. today presents the X-Cargo, a new generation
utility van as a reference model designed to meet various needs at the 34th
Tokyo Motor Show -Commercial Vehicles- (2000).

X-Cargo
The X-Cargo is the new generation utility van that Nissan is proposing as one
of the fruits of the alliance with Renault. The company will consider market
introduction of the X-Cargo taking into account customer reactions at this Tokyo
Motor Show.
Overview of X-Cargo is as follows:
1. Superior working ease
- Its low floor facilitates easy loading/unloading of cargo, and the high
ceiling of the cargo area allows a comfortable upright working posture.
- Sufficient luggage width which can secure the space for work in the middle
of the luggage even if shelves are set up on both sides.
- Large sliding doors on both sides that allow the use of a forklift in loading/unloading
cargo and the rear door that opens 270ÅKenhance working ease substantially.
2. Ample payload capacity
- The expansive cargo space makes it possible to transport large volumes
of cargo.
3. Designed with driver comfort in mind
- Comfort features include a low step height for easy ingress/egress, abundant
storage space and a functional layout with instruments, control switches and
equipment positioned ergonomically.
- Car-like driving ease and superb ride comfort.
- The walk through that allows the moving inside of a car from front seats
to luggage.
