It is a fact that People have a blind spot!
That is the starting point behind the Nissan approach to safety technology.
Nissan has a conceptual view of a 360-degree safety system which helps protect drivers from potential risks approaching from around the vehicle. This “Collision-Free Concept” is a goal which serves to help guide the development and enhancement of Nissan’s advanced technologies.
All-around Collision Free System— To help alert the driver of risk from multiple directions and intervene to support the driver’s response.
Front, left and right sides, blind spots and the rear... Nissan’s technology covers 360 degrees as literally “All-around”. “Distance Control Assist” helps the driver to keep an appropriate distance from the vehicle ahead by engaging the brakes automatically. “Lane Departure Prevention” sounds an audible warning when the vehicle starts to drift out of the lane and lightly applies the brakes to help ease the vehicle back between the lines.“Blind Spot Intervention” and “Backup Collision Intervention” warn the driver in order to help prevent collision in case of changing lane or backing out of a parking space. These systems can also intervene to support collision avoidance. Additionally, the “Around View Monitor” system provides a bird’s eye view of the vehicle, “Moving Object Detection” system notifies the driver of moving objects around the vehicle. With these functions, the “All-Around Driving Support System” has taken Nissan one step closer to achieving our ultimate goal, the “Collision-free” vehicle.
System Structure

Distance Control Assist
This function continuously monitors and analyzes closing speeds to a vehicle ahead. It automatically engages the brakes and pushes the gas pedal back to help the driver maintain a safe distance from a vehicle ahead.

Lane Departure Prevention
This function detects lane markers with a built-in camera. It sounds an audible warning when the driver start to drift out of the lane and lightly applies the brakes to help ease the car back between the lines.

Blind Spot Intervention
Blind Spot Warning and Blind Spot Inter vention Systems. Blind Spot Warning helps alert the driver to a vehicle detected in the blind spot area and Blind Spot Inter- vention helps the driver bring the vehicle back toward the center of the lane.

Backup Collision Intervention
When backing out of a parking space or in similar situations, the function uses sensors in the rear of the vehicle to detect potential obstacles. If the driver attempts to back up when an obstacle is detected, the system gives visual and audible warnings, and engages the brakes to help the driver avoid the obstacle.

Forward Collision Avoidance Assist Concept
If the driver does not adequately respond to the risk of a collision, this function will automatically engage the brakes. In case the relative velocity is less than 60km/h, it is may be possible to avoid a collision. If the collision cannot be avoided, the system will apply the brakes to help mitigate the collision and help reduce likelihood of injury.

Around View Monitor
The Around View Monitor uses four exterior cameras, one on every side, to give the driver a virtual 360-degree view of the surroundings. The bird’s-eye perspective is displayed on an in-dash monitor to help the driver see all around the vehicle.

Moving Object Detection
Building on the capabilities of Around View Monitor System, this function helps the driver avoid a collision by providing visual and audible warnings if the system detects moving objects within the displayed image in situations such as pulling out of a parking space.
