Anthropomorphic test device developed to simulate the behavior of a human body during collision so that protective performances for pedestrians can be evaluated.
Features
Upper body
- With a flexible spine, and shoulder and thoracic skeletal structures (collarbone and ribs) similar to the human anatomy, realistic reproduction of the impacts on the shoulders and thoracic areas are made possible.
- Wires and springs placed in the front and back simulate muscle power in the cervical vertebrae.
Lower body
- Wires and springs simulate the structure of cruciate ligaments in the knee joints, allowing quality reproduction of the knee joint behavior.
- Resin-made bones reproduce the flexibility and fractures in tibia bones.
