Nissan unveiled the all-new Maxima and a special design concept electric vehicle, the Denki Cube Concept at the 2008 New York International Auto Show.
The new Maxima is the seventh-generation of Nissan's flagship performance sedan in North America. The new Maxima design complements the commanding four-door sports car and was developed with the goal of creating "the best performing front engine, front-wheel drive car in the world." The Maxima will be available at Nissan dealers in North America beginning in early summer 2008.
The Denki, meaning "electric" in Japanese, Cube Concept is based on the current Japanese-market Nissan Cube and is powered by a compact lithium-Ion battery. Maintaining the uniqueness of the current-generation Nissan Cube, the Denki Cube retains some of the exterior and interior treatments which are centered on a fun electric vehicle concept.
